A broken hearted mother grieves over the grave of her only child. Her son fought and died for Ireland in 1916. Her heart is heavy with pain at the loss of her only child but very proud of her sons sacrifice for Ireland. Passionately performed by Niamh Parsons

For this album Raymond composed many jigs, reels and hornpipes to add to his extensive repertoire of traditional Irish music. They are performed by outstanding Irish musicians: Gerry O’Connor, Fiddle, Tommy Keane, Pipes, 

Flute and whistle, Raymond Smyth on the accordion and with Andy O’Callaghan, accompaniment.
